Marc is right; backporting the export_fh approach would be far too large
and invasive a change for 1.4, which is supposed to be a stable release
series and, at this point in its life cycle, _very_ stable. Updating the
checks to permit all of the filesystems which already just work would seem
to be an acceptable change.
