Hi,

This is advance warning that I intend on deleting this tag from the upstream
git and gerrit repositories. This tag currently prevents any of the automated
versioning tools from working with master builds, as it is malformed. It is
also uneccessary, as git provides automated tools to determine the last common
commit between two branches.

Deleting the tag upstream will only affect new repository clones (and prevent
it from being pulled back in to repos from which it has already been manually
deleted). If you have this tag in your repository, and you want to build
packages, you will still need to delete it with git tag -d

Speak now, or the tag gets it!

Simon.
