In the buzzword compliant world[1], tools like vagrant are being used to create exactly this kind of testing. See https://github.com/opscode/test-kitchen for some examples. Spinning up a "mini-cell" with a single command would be a huge step forward. But functional testing on the large scale isn't a substitute for unit-testing. OpenAFS needs both. I'd argue that if we are going to make progress on the needed changes to keep OpenAFS viable unit tests are far more important. - Booker C. Bense [1]- As they say I've been "exploring my options" recently so I've spent some time getting up to date on the buzzwords. _______________________________________________ OpenAFS-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openafs.org/mailman/listinfo/openafs-devel
