== 1.6.12 release ==

Linux 4.1 is due in ~4 weeks, and Marc's patch to resolve the recent GPLONLY
issue made 4.1-rc3 (commit de71ad2). We should issue 1.6.12pre2 soon. Help is
needed reviewing the open changes foreseen for 1.6.12 before this can be done:

=== Linux ===

The linux 4.1 changes in
http://gerrit.openafs.org/#q,status:open+project:openafs+branch:master+topic:linux-4.1,n,z
 are likely to be final but need review before they can be merged and pulled up.

Marc updated the mmap recursion fix (http://gerrit.openafs.org/11124). This too
needs review so it can be merged and pulled up.

=== Yosemite/Clang ===

11863 removes the obstacle to merging 11842, but the whole stack
http://gerrit.openafs.org/#q,status:open+project:openafs+branch:openafs-stable-1_6_x+topic:yosemite-compilation-cherrypicking,n,z
 still requires review before it can be merged.

== 1.8 release ==

Progress was made on softsig (6947), but it's not yet quite final [a new
patchset was pushed by Ben shortly after the meeting]. It will also need
something like 11865 (stop abusing SIGFPE in bosserver). Jeffrey would prefer a
single step procedure, as before, rather than requesting the admin to take two
steps (touch a file on the server, then issue the bos command) to place
bosserver into unrestricted mode. [Is this worth the effort?]
