Log:
http://conference.openafs.org/[email protected]/2015-05-20.html

== Participants ==

 * Ben Kaduk
 * Jeffrey Altman (not actually present, but input received by mail before)
 * Mike Meffie
 * Stephan Wiesand

== 1.6.12 release ==

These are the remaining obstacles to issuing 1.6.12pre2:

 * Linux 4.1-rc4 was released, there a no known showstoppers. The linux-4.1
changes were merged by Jeffrey before the meeting and pulled up to
http://gerrit.openafs.org/#q,status:open+project:openafs+branch:openafs-stable-1_6_x+topic:linux-4.1,n,z
 . After review, they can be merged and should take care of Linux-4.1.
 * The Linux mmap recursion fix (http://gerrit.openafs.org/11124) was updated
once more by Marc. [Alas, another problem was found by Ben after the meeting,
so it will need another update]
 * The yosemite/clang stack stack
http://gerrit.openafs.org/#q,status:open+project:openafs+branch:openafs-stable-1_6_x+topic:yosemite-compilation-cherrypicking,n,z
 had some review but some more would be good. Ben found a problem in 11845.
11874 is the proposed fix. This too needs to be merged on master and then
pulled up.

== 1.8 release ==

More progress was made on softsig (6947), and the latest revision was uploaded
shortly before the meeting. It still needs something like 11865 (stop abusing
SIGFPE in bosserver), and the participants seem to prefer the current revision
which will require two steps (touch a flag file on the server, then run "bos
setrestricted -mode 0") to move a running bosserver from restricted to
unrestricted mode.

The next topic to pursue once those were merged will then be
http://gerrit.openafs.org/#q,status:open+project:openafs+branch:master+topic:externalize-log-rotation,n,z
 .
