To the OpenAFS community, On behalf of Roman Mitz and the OpenAFS Foundation Board, I am pleased to announce that the OpenAFS Foundation, Inc has been granted federal Tax Exempt 501c3 status. This would not have been possible without the hard work of Roman, the current board members, and the former OpenAFS Elders. This tax exempt status positions the Foundation to move forward with obtaining funding from individuals and organizations for various OpenAFS-centric projects.
