My understanding is that a patch has neither been developed nor a pull request submitted. Assuming the original author is amenable to changing the export of "shared_processor" from EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL to EXPORT_SYMBOL, it will be up to Linus and the broader community to decide if the patch will be accepted. The change was merged on 13 Dec 2019 so its been in the tree for a long time. It is possible that there will be objections to the change.
