the installation notes when installing openafs 1.4.1-rc4 suggest
that you unmount /afs manually before shutdown, or else the system
will hang.

I can confirm the hanging problem.

I can't, however, figure out how to successfully unmount.

  vfr800:~ root# umount /afs
  umount: unmount(/afs): Resource busy

telling the finder to eject the "afs" icon fails similarly.

  vfr800:~ root# lsof | grep afs
[ shows lots of afsd lines but nobody with /afs open ; when i *do* have
a file or directory in afs in use, it shows it ]

is this just broken in rc4, or am i missing something?

I'll add that for my limited use playing music files, rc4 has
performed flawlessly other than this issue.

thanks,
danno
