If the client has a preference set for a server, then there is a server entry and that server will be probed to determine if it is up or down on a regular basis. Every ten minutes for UP servers and every three minutes for DOWN servers. You might now want to be producing all of that additional traffic on your network or bombard whatever machine is at that IP address. Jeffrey Altman
