One of my customers just reported

Error 98: Requested ticket lifetime invalid

on their Windows client.

After putzing around for a bit, I think I've got what it is. All of
the previous stuff that Google has on this doesn't have a solution,
so I figured I'd post.

The clock on the client machine was fast... by a month. (Due to
something I am not even trying to understand, entries in the System
category of Event Viewer suggest that it had jumped directly from
July 31 to September 1.)

What I don't get is why this didn't result in the usual "Error 2:
Client and server clocks badly skewed", though. They certainly were
badly skewed :-)
