I haven't found openafs packages for Fedora 12, which was released in

Fedora 12 has IMA enabled in its kernel by default. OpenAFS can't currently
co-exist with IMA, because IMA fundamentally breaks the core interface that
OpenAFS uses it access its disk cache. There is ongoing work to fix this
problem in the kernel.
OpenAFS version 1.4.11 works just fine on Fedora 12.
Due to the IMA stuff, you end up with tons of syslog messages
you can ignore (see earlier mails about "ima_file_free: open/free imbalance").
