It's a test cell for my corporation; it will only be around for a few weeks, and regardless, none of our AFS servers will ever be exposed to the outside world anyway. It's strictly for our internal call center operation.

Updating the DNS record for the DB servers seems to have solved the problem.

And you should add all DB Servers to your CellServDB - maybe add it to the official CellServDB list on openafs.org - to be included in every new package of OpenAFS and you do not need to change the config of the clients anymore.
