Our release process is different for openais 1.0 vs corosync, and as such we don't execute a "make dist" step which creates the proper files configure expects. Ryan can fix this if he likes but it is low priority. I'd recommend using someone else's built packages or run make dist on a system with proper autotools. Running make dist will create a tarball that you can then use to build on centos5.
