Right, I should have been more clear about that.  This is far beyond the scope 
of the OpenBabel 2.3 release!  It's a whole new project.

I'm not sure how to answer your original question.  I like the idea of 
normalizing metallocenes because they're causing us problems now.  But if we do 
that, we've started down the path to a more general normalization standard, but 
without planning it thoroughly.  Once you declare that OB is going to normalize 
metallocenes, it's hard to change your mind later.

So I don't have a yes or no answer and I'm curious what others think.
