Hi,

Having downloaded the trunk (on 22/3/2011) I found that I couldn't compile it on Windows. I received an error relating to Eigen in align.h. Looking up the installation instructions here: http://openbabel.org/wiki/Install__(source_code) I found instructions relating to Eigen that mention editing the CMake file. I have two observations:

1. The use of Eigen doesn't appear to be optional, although I'm happy to have it. 2. The CMake file uses an environment variable that isn't mentioned in either the OpenBabel or Eigen documentation - %EIGEN2_INCLUDE_DIR% - that should be set to the root of the Eigen source code tree.

I could be entirely wrong about point 1, but perhaps someone could modify the wiki page to mention the possible use of the environment variable on Windows.

Using this environment variable everything works as expected.

Just my 2p/2c

Best wishes,
Alex
