Yep - I was just rushing out the door, so a gist was faster.

No, we've tagged the same way historically. The script will deal with both '-' 
for tags.

We can always push for changes after 3.0 (i.e., for a 3.1 release). If we make 
this easier, then we can easily do releases every 6 months, rather than X 
years. :-)
