Hi All,
I am really interested in this project as the cost of Reaxys and Sci Finder
is getting too much. There are also other source  such as
http://www.organic-chemistry.org, which has good information on synthetic
transformations, protecting groups, heterocycles etc. And then there is
organic synthesis, which provides quite a few examples of synthetic
transformations.

I think it would be great if like minded people like chemist, computational
chemist can get together and extract the information from journals, patents
and scattered internet sources to create a true exceptional open source
alternative to Sci Finder and Reaxys. I am up for it if anyone is
interested. We actually need this in chemistry.
