Subject: [OpenBD] Re: OpenBD and excel

I just serve up an html table with headers to tell the browser its an
excel file

<cfheader name="Content-Disposition" value='inline;
filename="report.xls"'>

<cfcontent type="application/vnd.ms-excel" reset="true">

excel is quite happy to convert this into a spreadsheet, and you can use
basic inline css to add borders, bold, titles etc. Works great for
simple tabular data.

Could someone give me some advice about OpenBD and cfreports? I know
it's not supported and likely won't be. I'm fine with that for most
projects but I do have one that uses cfreports to generate a report
(query or array output) in Excel. Does anyone have a good work around
for this in OpenBD?

Thanks for your help.
