Hmm, I installed Tomcat via Synaptic on my #! OS instead of a manual 
install.  Maybe that has to do with something.  Tomcat is located in 
/var/lib/tomcat6 with this install and runs under tomcat6 user/group.

All the other servlets work -- I think the whole issue is a permission 
thing -- except I've set everything to 755 and recursive.
