To garnish this conversation (and for those who might Google this thread in the far flung future), my conversion from Windows-based ColdFusion to another platform was fraught with hours of frustration until I found that "Application.cfm" was a case-sensitive requirement. A file named "application.cfm" would not fire outside Win-land.
Since then, I always use that naming convention on ANY platform; in the event that someone may come along and copy the whole code base to another system. Turns out, it's becoming more often than I first thought... Alan K.
