Making sure you saw this on the wiki page:
"The DEFAULT attribute can be used to define style settings once and the
provide these style settings to multiple charts. The DEFAULT attribute value
is the location of a file that provides the default CFCHART attributes."

That doesn't address the skipping axis labels issue but this seemed like a
separate question to me.

I don't know if their forums are temporarily down or if they're defunct now,
but a forum topic comes up in Google concerning skipping axis labels:

Realize that at this point it would mean you're using the jFreeChart APIs
directly, but it wouldn't be complicated to do.

And as I said, please file a ticket if there are features you'd like to see
added.

I'll try to get some time in the next week or so to dig into this and come
up with some examples, and also take a look at what would be involved with
adding this to the tag.
