Many people report that the setup process with Mura on OpenBD is a pleasant one.

But I tried to install Mura versions
5.1.1291
5.1.1304
5.2.1773 &
5.2.1807
on my Ubuntu machine with Tomcat and a OpenBD 1.2 off-the-shelf distro.

Most of the newer Mura versions completed some "install process" on my port 8080 without incident, but ALL would throw errors of different flavors, some of which were vaguely referenced on various threads, blogs and bug reports - but none posted a resolution I could implement to success.

To be fair, Ray Camden's BlogCFC threw errors as well. So I've come to think that all this "unzip and drop" stuff just works for most everyone else - and I'm just cursed with something unique and unholy in what I thought was my typical setup.

FarCry may become my CMS by default, not choice. I'll try that one next weekend. Unfortunately, their site makes it look like I'm going to have to install some huge framework monster just to get the CMS product working.
