I extracted the WAR to my local machine and copied over the openbd and
WEB-INF dirs with 1.4 and then copied my old version of bluedragon.xml
back over. I will try for a full delete and then copy those dirs over.
However, when I did move to 1.4 there was a minor improvement in the
length of time the CPU would be pegged.
I will also update Java and see how that goes.
As far as OS I'm running CentOS 5.4. Give me 30-40 minutes and I'll
let you know how it goes!
Thanks

Java 1.6.0_14
Shot in the dark here, but have you tried a more recent version of Java?
.14 came out in May 2009 and the latest is .21 out this past July.
Lastly, how did you do the upgrade to 1.4? I've botched some before due
to file permissions and just extracting over old files which leaves
behinds a few old jars as cruft. Did you save your bluedragon.xml and
blast away everything? Or did you extract over the old files. You might
try that again. I assume you're on Linux as the OS.
