ColdFire uses a custom debug .cfm template that sends debug info in headers
"packets" that the plugin parses and displays.

I'd vote for this too... especially if you could define it at the
application level programmatically. I think frameworks could supply some
really neat additional aspects that a standard debug doesn't offer.
