Just so it's clear what I was describing is for doing things in Eclipse, in
which case you:

1. Create a new project in Eclipse using the GAE plugin from Google
2. Download and unzip the OpenBD GAE WAR
3. Copy WEB-INF files from OpenBD GAE WAR into Eclipse project's WEB-INF
directory

I'll try to play with the OpenBD Desktop this weekend and see how it goes.
