What Oracle release are your Target RAC? This might be the an JDBC Driver issue...
Unfortunately I currently don't have an RAC setup here at home or at the office si I can confirm that it would/should work... just seen issues in forums.oracle.com where the correct JDBC version have solved similar issues.
