Thank you for the fast response! That sounds like the perfect answer for me.

One follow up question... In the "default" tomcat install (which I understand I 
will
be uninstalling to use the OpenBD installer referenced) the directory was not 
under
the /opt ... will the installer allow me to choose the directories or are they 
defaulted/unchangeable?
