I agree with Alan about this is open source and we have the option to fix 
it... but said this I also disagree with him in his statementa about a 
network drive in producction. Why?

Because not everybody uses openbd to serve web pages, in my case run AI 
modules that augmentates data.
Secondly is referred to openbd local users, I mean opendb for the desktop.

Using mapped drives does not work since expandPath() translates the mapped 
drive to the (broken) real network path.
A solution could be use a config file where you set the path to the app.
