Are you familiar with managing Linux via the command line? If not, you should install webmin. It makes things much easier overall. The command I think you're looking for is: service tomcat6 restart (or: service tomcat6 start) Research the settings you need to change in the file server.xml (like /etc/tomcat6/server.xml), to run Tomcat on the new port.
