Jonathan,

Have you tried creating a datasource outside of the admin? Either within the bluedragon.xml or inside of you code either Application.cfc or just a standard cfm page?

I know the admin site has not been touched in while and there have been other reported issues. The issue may be with the admin not with OpenBD or JAR's themselves.

Regards,
Matthew

I have even copied all of the jar files from <jetty_home>/webapps/openbd/WEB-INF/lib up to <jetty_home>/lib and they still cant be found.

None of the jdbc drivers can be 'registered' in the admin tool against a datasource. I have no SET style environmental variables for java or classpath - should I have? why does the ready-to-go package not work out of the box ? Is there an XML file that needs editing first ?

All done under 'sudo su' so its all root ownership and root processes. Not very subtle I know.

Where is the conventional home of jetty? Would there be a problem with /opt/<xxx>/ ?

I'm obviously doing something stupid, but what?

I've unzipped the Ready2Run zip on new Redhat server, but cannot create jdbc datasources via the admin tool - I get the dreaded message:

"Could not register database driver net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver. Please make sure this driver is in your classpath."

All I've done is create a directory: /opt/xxx copied jetty-openbd.zip into it and unzipped the file there.

Then in same terminal window navigated to /opt/xxx/ and issued:

java -jar start.jar

Then login into admin area with 'admin' p/w

Try to create either a mysql or mssql datasource and provoke the error message.

I can see the relevant *.jar files in /opt/ion/webapps/openbd/WEB-INF/lib but they are not being found when registering a driver via the admin tool.
