Related to this is also bandwidth consumption.

Imagine that we release Openbravo R2.60 and I have installed 2.50.

I do not see how to download the update full core update from the
Central Repository or Mercurial will make any difference if I'm
downloading at the end the same files.

How will you approach searching the repository?

Do you think that the performance of search for new modules will be
acceptable if you have a few modules installed?
