Hi all,

There has been some confusion about how should Openbravo maintenance
packs be applied, and specifically, if you can upgrade from any version
of Openbravo 2.50 to the latest (or other) maintenance pack. This post
will answer this question.

The main thing that needs to be considered is this: an Openbravo 2.50,
2.50MP1, or 2.50MP2 must be upgraded to 2.50MP3. After an update to
2.50MP3 has been done, the Openbravo instance can be updated to any
subsequent version of Openbravo (2.50MP4, ..., 2.50MP9, ...).

An update from an earlier version than 2.50 MP3 to any version greater
than MP3 will NOT work. The reason for this is that in 2.50 MP3, we
added some functionality that is required in subsequent versions of the
Openbravo upgrade tool. This means that, if you are using MP3 or
greater, you can upgrade to any newer version of Openbravo. If you are
using 2.50, 2.5O MP1, or 2.50 MP2, you must upgrade to MP3, and then you
can upgrade to a newer version.

If you have additional questions about what considerations you need to
take to upgrade to an Openbravo 2.50 maintenance pack, please post them
in this forum post:
