ok, ok... sorry! Forget my last email!

APM works just beautiful!. I just had to enable the apmd daemon
(change apmd_flags=NO to apmd_flags="" in /etc/rc.conf).

apm -z as well as closing the lid is working fine!

Sorry, it's only that I'm too excited today... I've been dreaming of
this for years... I planned to switch to OpenBSD but I had never the
courage to do it... I will check a couple of things more during a week
or so and then install it on my own laptop to WORK!

I was also very happy to see that now intel wlan is supported via iwi
but I see from the man page that firmware is still required and it
isn't free.

>From the manpage:

These firmware files are not free because Intel refuses to grant distri-
bution rights without contractual obligations. As a result, even though
OpenBSD includes the driver, the firmware files cannot be included and
users have to download these files on their own. The official person to
state your views to about this issue is [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I was really looking forward to have a 100% free laptop and I do need
wlan connection... these are bad news...

anyway, thanks!

Pau
