a side remark: skype on my o'bsd crash laptop DOES work
The micro is not working but I could start a chat with a friend without any problem. I guess that if my micro configuration was working I could also talk to him But I do not plan to use skype because it's ...evil... I'd be happy to see ekiga or wengo on o'bsd Does anybody know if gnome is going to be updated in the next o'bsd release? It's FIVE steps delayed (2.16 as of now and 2.10 in o'bsd binaries) Cheers, Pau PS: Regarding my o'bsd installation problem I'll try to dual boot GNU/Linux - o'bsd and try to figure things out that way... because I need a working laptop... Let's see whether I will succeed. It doesn't seem trivial (have to set up a partition in GNU/Linux and struggle with that head, cylider, sector o'bsd-ish thing afterward) 2006/12/13, Chaz Gilbert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > sorta off topic, but i'm having a doozie of a time getting any VoIP client > working/compiled on openbsd 4.0. any one have any suggestions for a good > SIP or IAX client? > -chaz > > Vim Visual <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > the proof ;) > > http://www.aei.mpg.de/~pau/skype.png > > I don't have any contacts under that nickname; therefore the list is > empty... > > Cheers, > > Pau > > > > 2006/12/11, Vim Visual : > > > I can sign-in and I can see all my contacts etc. However, I get > > an "skype has experienced a database error"; and I am afraid the > > solution is to run the programme as root, which I don't like at all.
