Hi all

It is getting toward that time for me to upgrade my OBSD firewall. This
time I am wanting to be more adventurous and I am wanting to install TOR
as well as privoxy. Having never done this before, I was wondering if
anyone has come across any decent guides to doing so, where one does not
need to be a boffin to work through them.

Hi Andy,

Install tor and privoxy packages from the ftp website.

===================================================================
ftp> ls privoxy*
227 Entering Passive Mode (129,128,5,191,164,117)
150 Have a Gorilla.
-r--r--r--    1 20001    0          147472 Sep 01 17:27 privoxy-3.0.3p0.tgz
226 There, everyone likes a Gorilla.
ftp> ls tor*
227 Entering Passive Mode (129,128,5,191,169,170)
150 Have a Gorilla.
-r--r--r--    1 20001    0          378234 Sep 01 17:27 tor-0.1.2.16.tgz
====================================================================

and follow the instructions on the tor website.

It is easy but you will have to do a bit of reading though :-)

If some thing is not working just ask.

Kind Regards

Siju

Thanks Siju

Any thoughts on the lag issue, or is that also addressed in the TOR docs? And its compatibility with Privoxy?

Cheers

Andy
