Hi,
I'm using OpenBSD 4.6 stable on an AMD machine.
I'm using a Ralink based wireless card.
here's what dmesg says about it:
ral0 at pci3 dev 8 function 0 "Ralink RT2860" rev 0x00: apic 1 int 16
(irq 11), address 00:25:9c:e5:31:64
ral0: MAC/BBP RT2860 (rev 0x0103), RF RT2850 (MIMO 2T2R)
This card has very low transmit power and i'm trying to get more
out of it.
I've tried to find the proper syntax to use the "txpower" argument
with ifconfig.
Syntax from the manual page:
txpower dBm
Set the transmit power for IEEE 802.11-based wireless
network interfaces. The driver will disable any auto level and
transmit power controls in this mode.
I've tried about every way to use
# ifconfig ral0 txpower xxdBm
and everthing gives me an error.
HELP!
how can I set the txpower on this card?
Thanks, Ed from Indiana
