I'm doing a test install of openca-0.9.0-2 on a machine with both
openssl 0.9.6 and 0.9.7-Beta3 installed (0.9.7 is statically compiled
and in /usr/lib/openca-openssl), to make sure everything fits together
well enough to go live.
When running make test, I ran into a problem on test 7 of openca-db
(i.e. delete-reqs.pl, called from src/modules/openca-db/test.pl).
When "Deleting pending Requests" it fails. The actual output is not
particularly informative, but I will supply if someone would find it
useful.
I did some digging and found out that it was failing because
delete-reqs.pl is trying to delete the requests numbered 1 and 2, but
the only pending request that's in the system at this point is
numbered 32212 (it's the one from data/req_32212.spkac).
store-reqs.pl was supposed to load the requests from data/req.pem and
data/req_32212.spkac in test 5, but I don't see anything but the 32212
request in db/pending_requests. I'm not sure I'm looking properly,
however (just running strings on db/pending_requests, but list-reqs.pl is
also only mentioning 32212).
I can think of four possible explanations:
1) My computer has some misconfiguration, causing the test to work
incorrectly
2) There is a problem with store-reqs.pl, and it's not storing
all the requests its supposed to.
3) The other tests were updated to a new set of pending_requests,
but delete-reqs.pl got missed
4) There is some bug in the OpenCA perl modules
Explanations 2 and 1 seem most likely to me, particularly since I
can't find any certificates than #32212, and I know store-reqs.pl is
supposed to load at least two certificates.
Does anyone have similar problems with the tests?
Does anyone know what command I can use to verify which requests are
in db/pending_requests?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Sincerely,

PS: Yes, I have OPENSSL and OPENSSL_CONFIG pointing at my 0.9.7
openssl files, I couldn't get past test 5 for openca-db until I
fixed that.
