No, it is not ok. $mail_dir is from the keyword CRIN_MAIL_DIR. It is 
necessary to create a new directory for these mails like 
var/mails/default and link this directory to the keyword 
DEFAULT_MAIL_DIR. This requires some changes in the online-servers too 
(including changes in the installation routines) - mmh, perhaps to 
difficult :(

So it is enough if you implement it in the simple way you proposed and I 
do the rest. I think it is perhaps too difficult for you to fix the 
whole installation.

Yes, this would be better but if you have some problems with this 
version then you can use any other 0.9.1 RC too. I will merge it.
