Hi,

With some playing around I created an SSL cert for an iPlanet 4.1 web
server. The cert is correctly imported and I was able to start the web
server in HTTPS mode. I tried accessing the system using the Netscape 4.97
installed on the same server and this worked fine. However, when I tried
accessing the system using IE off my PC, I always ended up with a page not
found error or something similar. The browser did seem to initiate some SSL
connections with the server. Also, when I explicitly forced SSL 3 only on
the web server and disabled SSL 3 from the browser, I did get a message in
the web server log that the server & client couldn't agree on an encryption
scheme. Is there anything special that I must do when creating the
certificate (or anything else) to make the generate cert usable with IE?
The web server's access log that records the actual URLs requested by
clients shows no requests whatsoever, making it appear as if the browser &
server never complete the SSL setup.. that's my feeling at least.

By the way, I'm using OpenCA 0.9.1-1.

Thanks,
Herbert
