Yes. I changed it on both CA and RA.  I am using 0.9.2.0 and I just find out the "initial database"  ( for both CA and RA ) didn't create database.  I don't know if this is related to the symlink problem.  I will wait for 0.9.2.1 and checkout the UID things.

If you have the UID working, do you mind if chat about this offline.  I don't mind to post a mini-howto to this list after I have this working.  I know other people are interested to store the cert under uid or have one entry on ldap to store everything ( like uid, uidnumber, cert, etc... )

no, this can't be, i had this running with uid too already some time ago
did you change this on the ra and ca?
