if it is any help, I have got OpenCA running on a Fedora Core 3 installation. The only big problem I remember was that you need to switch the SELINUX off as there is not a profile that works with OpenCA. But you only find this out after the install is finished and the OpenCA Server is running. If the box is doing nothing but your OpenCA test, can I recommend that you start again from scratch (with a clean OS). Don't install any new perl modules (as OpenCA does install them itself), and then post errors in the installation here as you go along. Sorry, but you seem to be in a funny state, so this is probably the easiest was for us to diagnose errors.
