Hello,
some of my original mail was cut off.
The socket exists and also the processes are runnung:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# ls -lisa /usr/local/OpenCA/var/tmp/openca_socket
614948 4 srwxr-xr-x 1 apache apache 0 21. Jun 17:05
/usr/local/OpenCA/var/tmp/openca_socket
root 3497 1 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3499 3497 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3500 3497 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3501 3497 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3502 3497 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3503 3497 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3504 3497 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3505 3497 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3506 3497 0 17:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 3731 1 6 17:05 pts/2 00:00:03 /usr/bin/perl
/usr/local/OpenCA/etc/openca_start
apache 3733 1 0 17:05 pts/2 00:00:00 /usr/bin/perl
/usr/local/OpenCA/etc/openca_start
So you see, I am bit confused.
This is what /usr/local/OpenCA/var/log/stderr.log says:
2005/06/21-17:05:51 OpenCA::Server (type Net::Server::Fork) starting!
pid(3733)
Binding to UNIX socket file /usr/local/OpenCA/var/tmp/openca_socket
using SOCK_STREAM
Setting gid to "48 48"
Setting uid to "48"
Once, I was running OpenCA 0.9.2.1 on a Fedora Core 2 successfully.
Is there something that might have failind during comile time, that I
did not see?
THanks for you assistance.
Cornelius

I installed everything on one machine, edited config.xml, run

ps -efa shows the owner of the process. ls -lisa
/usr/local/OpenCA/var/tmp/openca_socket shows you the permissions of
the socket and last but not least ps -efa shows you the owner of the
apache process too.
