--- Comment #26 from Christopher <laserhaw...@gmail.com> --- Thanks for reopening! Deeply appreciated, as is the explanation. A pity that the other devs have left... loss of interest, I assume? *ahem* The function is reproducible. Any version of Puppy Precise (Puppy v. 5.7.1) works fine. Any version later than that, no video. I have tested with two other Pups -- X-Precise 2.4 (based on Precise Puppy 571) and LXPup Precise (based on Puppy 571 Retro) -- both work fine. I have also tested an odd Pup of ours -- ClassicPup 2.14X Top10 is a highly updated old dog of a Pup. (Pun intended.) It's based on the final 2.x-series release, but it's actually capable of running eg Chromium 43 or so. Pretty amazing. I can confirm that /it/ boots to desktop on that hardware as well... I would assume that any Pup earlier than Precise 571 would have no trouble, but I haven't tested that yet. I have asked the developer of TahrPup to spin me up a version of that Pup which has no zdrv (external driver SFS, rather than keeping them in/with the kernel) and the older openchrome driver from Precise Puppy 571. I'll update this to note what happens when I hear back... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
