We already got such problem, it was reported in
http://www.openchrome.org/trac/ticket/288 and solved at some point I believe.
Unfortunately above link doesn't work anymore (whole http://openchrome.org/
seems to be down).

AFAIR it was openchrome changing reserved bits of some GPU register. Maybe the
same bug was re-introduced recently?
