DRM_TTM is required for proper compilation. In the case of
via-openchrome it is not automatically activated. I chose the first
(smaller) DRM_VMWGFX that made it and the whole compilation was a
complete success.
With config
# CONFIG_MODULES is not set
also works.
Finally, I could use the encrypted ext4 volume. It is a pity that you
are developing a kernel-only driver that excludes it from everyday use
(no security patches).
