Another thing to consider is testing the hardware on Ubuntu based distribution
like Xubuntu or Lubuntu.
Outside of Xubuntu / Lubuntu, I have only tried Debian 8 (VIA EPIA-M; CLE266
chipset) and FreeBSD 11 64-bit (ABIT IP-95; P4M890 chipset) so far.
Revisit Debian 9 after making sure the hardware works on Xubuntu / Lubuntu.
I have already upgraded several of my boxes to Xubuntu / Lubuntu 18.04 and it
is working fine (about the same stability as Xubuntu / Lubuntu 16.04).
