Well after much testing and a couple of confirmations it seems that xxmc is broken in xine on FC8.
It works when playing back mpeg content from disk It works when watching live DVB-S UNTILL you try zapping between channels and it will lock up xine every time when zapping between horizontal and vertical polarized channels. xine -V xv works just fine with DVB-S but uses 100% CPU Reinhard Nissl writes: "On the other hand, my EPIA MII-6000E runs openSUSE 10.3 too, using the binary openchrome driver package provided at openchrome.org and hasn't deadlocked so far though using xxmc." Hans Gustafsson (who has same lockup as me) writes: "I am running fedora 8 on an EPIA CN10000 with openchrome from 2007-12-27 and vdr-xine-0.8.1." Fedora Core 8 issue? Missing library somewhere?
