#248: Resume after suspend to ram doesn't work

After resuming from suspend to ram on my laptop (Averatec 3225), the LCD
backpanel light is off. I can switch to console (ctrl-alt-f1) and the
backpanel light will turn on, but the screen is all garbled. Switch back
to X and it goes off again.
Also, as far as I can tell, everything else about suspend to ram is
working. I can ssh to the machine and shutdown or reboot just fine.
Suspend to disk (hibernate) works perfectly.
