Try modifying your xorg conf with something like that :
Section "Device"
Identifier "Default Device"
Driver "openchrome"
Option "ActiveDevice" "LCD"
Option "PanelSize" "800x400"
EndSection
Please provide the X log with such a conf and let us know how it worked.
If it doesn't work, please try the kms_branch without an X configuration
and send the X log.
