ad861dc is git master.
The problem here is the driver doesn't detect anything connected to the
VGA port, and thus doesn't enable it. It would be interesting to compare
the log from git master (which you already provided) and the log from the
ubuntu 12.04 provided driver (which you didn't provided yet).
Another interesting test would be to try to get the EDID from some command
line tool, such as read-edid or monitor-edid.
